The Nike Air Force 1 Low “Jackie Robinson” is a special colorway of the vintage basketball and lifestyle shoe that honors the legacy of the iconic Baseball Hall of Famer and civil rights activist. Jackie Robinson is a former Brooklyn Dodger who broke baseball’s color barrier in 1947 when he became the first Black player in Major League Baseball. On this Air Force 1, Nike celebrates his triumphant feat with special detailing in his honor. The shoe features a Sail leather construction with a Racer Blue Swoosh on the sides. A red “42” logo, inspired by Jackie’s number with the Dodgers, is embroidered on the lateral side of the heel. The Brooklyn Dodgers “B” logo is embroidered on the Racer Blue tongue. “Change the World” is printed on the laces and branding specific to Robinson appears on the insole. The shoe is complete with a brown speckled rubber sole inspired by baseball field dirt. Release date: April 15, 2023 Jackie Robinson
