The Upper:

• The Vapor VI continued with the super lightweight Teijin synthetic material that was used on the previous Mercurial Vapor models
• Similar to the previous Vapor V, the lace cover was used for a secure, locked in fit and a maximized strike zone
• The Vapor VI did feature a slightly higher toe box than the previous models,?making them a bit more spacious and not as tight as the other Mercurial models

The Sole Plate:

• nithtke introduced the glass fiber sole plate, a major difference from the previous model
• The top model superfly used the carbon fiber material, but the glass fiber would remain as one of the most popular designs in terms of looks and performance?
• The glass fiber was bit more flexible and not as stiff as the carbon fiber, making it a preferred choice among many pros
